Young Heel (Record Release Party!)
Young Heel (Record Release Party!)
Young Heel is a Brooklyn-based experimental pop project. The band draws influences from Arthur Russell to My Bloody Valentine to The-Dream, with the hopes of making music for thoughtful people to dance, cook, and make love to.
Kuroma
Kuroma
Kuroma is the creation of Hank Sullivant, founding bassist of The Whigs and former touring guitarist with MGMT, who, in 2007, began to record and perform his own music. Paris, his well-received debut album, is composed of songs that he began writing as early as 2005. In addition to his own music, Hank has produced albums for Gift Horse, Wages, and Colour Revolt.

Over the last two years, Kuroma has opened for and toured with Jarvis Cocker, MGMT, and Primal Scream. Kuroma was selected by Spin Magazine as a must-see band at 2009 Bonnaroo and 2010 Bamboozle Fest. British magazine NME declared the live band one of the ten best performances at the CMJ Music Marathon in 2008.

Blonde Valhalla
Blonde Valhalla
Blonde Valhalla, a Brooklyn collaboration formed in 2011, was originally the workings of Brian Aiken, Andrew Owens, and Birdie Lawson. In the spring of 2011 they recorded "Dances of Youth" with engineer Chris Moore (T.V. on the Radio, Yeasayer) at Headgear Studios in Williamsburg and Lord Baltimore Studios in Baltimore. The 5 song E.P. was predominantly written by Aiken on various keyboards, though many of the melodic layers come from Owen's guitar riffs and Lawson's vocal stylings. Much of the lyrics are the by-product of Aiken's extensive hours as a security guard at the Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church.

Aiken is a veteran of the psych-pop band Suckers, who have played with the likes of The National, MGMT, and Passion Pit. Upon finishing a fall tour, Aiken and Owens (both from Wallingford, CT) began collaborating to form Blonde Valhalla. As of late, Emilie Weibel (Omoo) from Lucerne, Switzerland has taken over on female vocal harmonies, Nick Spizziri of Clouty and Nick Fonarev of Po Johnson both play synthesizers and percussion, and Bryant Castro of Shit Yeah Girl plays bass and percussion.
